

A Typical Day At Fun -N- Friends |
| A Typical Day All parents walk their child into the school, hang up their coat on the coat rack and come to the classroom leaving their tote bags outside the room. The children are greeted by the teacher or assistant teacher and then have free play in the classroom interacting with their classmates. All activities and lessons are about 15 minutes in length, usually starting with circle time after free play. Circle time is calendar, weather and introduction to the lesson of the day. The following activities occur throughout the day. Main lesson Cutting gluing painting Computers Playroom/playground Bathroom break Snack Small motor skills Story Gross motor skills Music Two and half year old classes work on the following skills: Socialization, small motor, gross motor, listening, following simple directions, colors, shapes, counting numbers 1-10, recognizing number 1-3 and some science and social studies. Three year old classes will work on: Review colors and shapes. Correct pencil grip. Listening skills. Following a 2 step direction. Recognition of numbers 1-10. Counting numbers 1-20. Recognizing their name. Writing their first name. Recognition of some letters. Cutting skills. Fine motor and gross motor skills. Science and social studies. Pre-K classes will work on: Correct pencil grip. Listening skills. Following a 3 step direction. Recognition of upper and lower case letters. Introduction to letter sounds. Write name with correct letter formation. Counting 1-100. Recognize 1-30. Count by 10’s. Write numbers. Science and social studies. Copy AB, AAB and AABB patterns. Create own patterns.
